This full-time role is set within a supportive and collaborative Primary Care practice focused on diagnosing and treating various health conditions, with an emphasis on pain management and promoting overall health. Work Environment

This position is based onsite at our state-of-the-art Surgical Center in Toms River, New Jersey. Our facility is equipped with advanced technology and resources to support the treatment activities of our team. You will be working closely with a team of 5 medical doctors and 5 nurse practitioners, fostering an environment of teamwork and professional development. The practice operates 40 hours a week, Monday to Friday, with a commitment to maintaining a healthy work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments by examining patients and reviewing their medical histories.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as blood tests and X-rays to inform treatment decisions.
• Diagnose health conditions related to pain management and develop appropriate treatment plans.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to propose effective treatments for both chronic and acute health conditions.
• Prescribe medications as necessary and monitor patients for medication efficacy and side effects.
• Maintain meticulous and accurate patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Educate patients about their health conditions, treatment options, and prescribed medications.
• Promote wellness and preventive health practices among patients and their families.
• Engage in continuous learning and professional development through research and staying up-to-date with healthcare innovations.

The pain management practice serves a diverse clientele, including individuals suffering from chronic pain, acute injuries, and other debilitating conditions. Our approach encompasses compassionate care tailored to each patient’s specific needs, ensuring a supportive environment for those facing health challenges.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• A valid Physician Assistant license issued by the state of New Jersey.
• Current certification as a Physician Assistant (PA-C) and a valid DEA number.
• Proven experience in a clinical setting, particularly within pain management or a related specialty.
• Expertise in primary care practices, pain management methodologies, and a deep understanding of patient care regulations.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrating patience and professionalism in all interactions.
• A proactive approach to learning and a commitment to continual professional development.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working within an outpatient primary care setting or surgical center.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
• Bilingual abilities are a plus, but not required.

Compensation and Benefits
