Work Environment

The position is fully onsite at our state-of-the-art Surgical Center, where you will collaborate with a diverse team of healthcare professionals, including five board-certified physicians and five nurse practitioners. This collaborative setting allows for multi-disciplinary approaches to patient care and fosters a culture of teamwork and excellence in service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough physical examinations and evaluate patients’ medical histories.
• Order, interpret, and analyze diagnostic tests, including blood tests and imaging studies, to diagnose health conditions accurately.
• Develop and implement treatment plans for chronic pain conditions and other health issues.
• Prescribe medications in accordance with best practices and regulatory guidelines.
• Provide patient education by informing patients and families about health conditions, treatment options, and prevention strategies.
• Maintain detailed and accurate patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Foster a supportive environment that promotes good health practices through patient engagement and education.
• Participate in continuous professional development, including research activities, to enhance clinical expertise and expand knowledge.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role will primarily involve working with patients experiencing chronic pain conditions, acute injuries, and complicated health issues requiring comprehensive management strategies. The diverse patient population may include individuals suffering from chronic pain conditions such as arthritis, post-surgical pain, and those needing rehabilitation to restore functionality and improve quality of life.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s Degree is required; a Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant studies is preferred.
• A valid Physician Assistant license in the state of New Jersey (NJ) is mandatory.
• Certification as a Physician Assistant (PA-C) is required.
• Possession of a valid DEA number to prescribe medications.
• Excellent communication skills and a strong ethical foundation are essential.
• A collaborative spirit and positive attitude in a multi-disciplinary health care environment.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience as a Physician Assistant in a primary care, urgent care, or specialty pain management setting is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated expertise in managing both acute and chronic pain conditions.
• Familiarity with healthcare regulations and standards related to patient care.
• Bilingual proficiency is a plus, enhancing our capacity to serve a diverse clientele.

Compensation and Benefits
