Work Environment

This role is based in our state-of-the-art hospital facility in Lakewood, NJ, where you will engage with both inpatients and outpatients in a fast-paced environment. You will work Monday to Friday, 8 hours a day, ensuring a balanced work-life dynamic while contributing to patient care. Key Responsibilities

• Provide advanced practitioner care to orthopedic patients, including diagnostic, therapeutic, procedural, and preventative care under the supervision of a specialty physician.
• Conduct thorough patient examinations, interpret radiology reports and lab results, and formulate appropriate treatment plans.
• Take patient histories, write prescriptions, order necessary therapies, and assist during surgical procedures as required.
• Manage patient care across their orthopedic journey, from inpatient services and consultations to pre-procedure and post-procedure care within both hospital and outpatient clinic settings.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily serve patients dealing with orthopedic issues, including those experiencing chronic pain, requiring surgical interventions, or needing rehabilitation following orthopedic procedures. Your efforts directly impact patient recovery and overall satisfaction with their care experience, ensuring continuity and a holistic approach to their well-being.

Qualifications

• A minimum of one (1) year of clinical experience as a Physician Assistant, preferably in orthopedic specialty care.
• A bachelor’s or master’s degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Current state licensing as a Physician Assistant and national certification.
• DEA Certificate obtained within three (3) months of hire.
• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with patients and team members.
• Self-directed with robust organizational skills, enabling you to function effectively in an independent role.
• Physical capacity to perform essential duties, including lifting up to 25 pounds and the ability to see enough to interpret medical gauges and documents.
• Commitment to meeting the minimum standards for hospital credentialing and billing as a billable provider.

Preferred Experience

• Recent experience in orthopedic procedures, particularly related to wound care management.
• A background in managing urgent care referrals and assisting in surgical operations under the supervision of attending orthopedic surgeons.
• Experience with managing complex patient cases and a knack for problem-solving makes you an ideal candidate.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 120,000 to 150,000 annually, reflecting your experience and expertise.
