Work Environment

This full-time position requires an onsite presence at our state-of-the-art Surgical Center, which has been designed to accommodate a variety of healthcare needs. In this role, you will work alongside a team of experienced physicians, nurses, and support staff in a dynamic urgent care setting. Our center is equipped with modern medical technology and resources that enable you to provide efficient and effective patient care, including access to diagnostic imaging and laboratory services. The typical work schedule is Monday to Friday, consisting of 40 hours per week, with shifts commencing at 5:00 PM.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient examinations and review medical histories to ensure comprehensive assessments.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as blood work and X-rays, to aid in accurate clinical decision-making.
• Diagnose and manage a variety of acute medical conditions and illnesses, utilizing your clinical judgment and skills.
• Formulate and implement effective treatment plans for patients with chronic diseases, ensuring continuity of care.
• Prescribe medications while monitoring their effectiveness and any potential side effects.
• Maintain meticulous and organized patient records, ensuring compliance with health regulations and organizational policies.
• Educate patients and their families about disease prevention, management of health conditions, and necessary lifestyle adjustments.
• Promote overall wellness by encouraging healthy habits and engaging patients in their own healthcare decision-making.
• Participate in continuous professional development and research initiatives to enhance your skills and support organizational goals.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily serve a diverse patient population, ranging from children to elderly individuals, with various acute health needs. Our urgent care center focuses on providing timely and effective care for minor injuries, acute illnesses, and preventive health services. Your ability to communicate effectively, demonstrate empathy, and create a comfortable environment will be essential in establishing trust with patients and their families.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physician Assistant Studies or a closely related field is required.
• A minimum of two years of clinical experience as a Physician Assistant, preferably in an urgent care, emergency, or primary care setting.
• Demonstrated expertise in acute care practices and a solid understanding of patient care regulations.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
• Commitment to ethical practice and patient-centered care.
• Ability to maintain composure in high-pressure scenarios, ensuring the delivery of quality care.
• A valid Physician Assistant license (PA-C) in New Jersey, along with a DEA number.
• A Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies is highly preferred.

Preferred Experience

• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and workflows.
• Bilingual skills are a plus, allowing for better communication with our diverse patient population.
• Previous experience in a surgical center or specialty care is advantageous but not required.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 140,000 to 180,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Our comprehensive benefits package includes:
