The Shipping Clerk is responsible for preparing products for shipment by packing, labeling, processing, and documenting outgoing materials according to Biomerics standards. This role involves operating equipment such as weight scales, degreasing tanks, and ovens, as well as using pallet jacks to transport goods within the shipping department. The associate ensures shipments meet quality and accuracy standards while maintaining safety and cleanliness in the work area.

Shipping/Receiving Clerk Roles and Responsibilities

• Prepare products and paperwork for shipment.
• Check incoming shipments for damage and accuracy.
• Receive, ship, and move raw material, finished goods and sterilized products in an ERP system.
• Stage raw material into FIFO and designated locations.
• Assist with inventory control and warehouse organization.
• Suggest improvements and solutions to current processes and procedures.
• Complete assigned training and tasks.
• Understand the importance of safety in the workplace.
• Maintain a clean work environment.
• Other duties assigned by supervisors.

Job Qualifications

• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and guidance documents.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions written in English.
• Ability to complete paperwork in English.
• Ability to apply general math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division).
• Ability to use basic computer applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Ability to use a computer-based ERP system.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to do repetitive work.
• Ability to lift or move 50 lbs. objects.
• Ability to operate warehouse equipment.
• Ability to work in a warehouse environment with fluctuating temperatures.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must have a high school diploma or its equivalent.
