Senior Accountant

Description Position Summary The Senior Accountant is responsible for overseeing and performing complex accounting activities, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records, and supporting the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes. This role partners with internal departments to provide financial analysis, maintain compliance with accounting standards, and support continuous improvement initiatives within the accounting function. Essential Duties And Responsibilities Prepare and review monthly journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules. Lead month-end and year-end close activities to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting. Analyze financial statements and investigate variances, trends, and discrepancies. Maintain general ledger accounts and ensure compliance with company policies and accounting principles. Assist in the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements. Review and reconcile balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis. Work with external tax teams to review liabilities. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities. Ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable regulatory requirements. Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, controls, and reporting efficiencies. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives and financial objectives. Mentor and provide guidance to junior accounting staff as needed. Participate in special projects and ad hoc financial analysis as assigned. Education And Experience Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required. CPA designation a plus. Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience. Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements. Skills And Competencies Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Experience with ERP and accounting software systems. Skills with AI, RPA's or other technologies Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Working Conditions Primarily office-based environment with extended computer use.
