Job Description

A client of Innova Solutions is immediately hiring a Manufacturing Engineer.

Position Type: Full time, Possible Contract to Hire

Duration: 12months

Location: Clifton, NJ, 07014

(

Onsite/1st Shift/7:00AM-4:30PM)

As a Manufacturing Engineer you will: Develops, implements and analyzes manufacturing engineering plans and projects and communicates them to internal and external customers. Defines, develops and transfers manufacturing and engineering tools, strategies and systems. Develops manufacturing strategies for specific products and processes. Actively participates with engineering project teams in order to coordinate the release of new products. Estimates and tracks manufacturing costs, determines time standards, and makes recommendations for tooling and process requirements of new or existing product lines. Maintains records and reporting systems for coordination of manufacturing operations. The candidate will perform a variety of engineering work in the development, improvement, and optimization of multiple processes and techniques, including circuit card assembly, standard module assembly, and electro-mechanical final assembly. The work will include improving and optimizing current processes, implementing new tooling, improving existing tooling, and creating robust technical documentation on existing processes and tooling. Essential Functions: Implementing manufacturing standard work and best practices to improve operational metrics. Translate drawing requirements into detailed work instructions for the assembly, integration, and testing of complex end-products. Work with existing and legacy equipment. Control and improve existing processes. Perform failure analysis and risk mitigation. Complete technical writing and training related tasks. Coordinate with maintenance group for equipment upkeep and training. Preferred Additional Skills: Strong problem-solving and data analysis skills. Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering background preferred. Experience with legacy tooling, code, and equipment Robust project management and technical writing skills Ability to communicate project status and risks to leadership team Expertise in making data driven decisions to improve and develop processes Experience using DFM, Six-Sigma and/or Lean Manufacturing Principles Experience using DMAIC process and associated tools. The ideal candidate will have: Bachelor's Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience. Manufacturing SOWs and Best Practices Failure Analysis and Risk Mitigation Technical writing of training materials

PAY RANGE AND BENEFITS:

Pay Range*: $55-$60/hr

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
