Shift: Day, 3x12-Hour (06:45 AM – 07:15 PM)

Hours/week: 36

Employment Type: Travel / Contract

License/Certs: Current ACLS & BLS required

Experience: 1+ year in ICU or LTAC preferred

Pay & Benefits

Hourly Pay Rate: $53.60

What You'll Do

• Provide high-quality patient care in a busy ICU LTAC setting
• Monitor and manage patient conditions, including critical care procedures
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, including TPN, wound care, drains, Foley catheters, and narco administration
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to coordinate patient treatment plans
• Document patient care accurately in Epic and other electronic health records
• Respond to emergencies and participate in emergency team assignments when required
• Educate patients and families about care plans and treatments

What You Need

Required:

• Valid RN license in Louisiana or eligible for licensure
• ACLS and BLS certification
• Minimum of 1 year ICU or LTAC experience
• Epic electronic medical record experience

Preferred:

• Experience with special procedures such as TPN, wound care, drains, and Foley management
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle emergency situations

About the Assignment This assignment is at a leading facility in Jefferson, Louisiana, specializing in long-term acute care (LTAC). The ICU unit provides comprehensive critical care for patients with complex medical needs, with patient ratios typically around 1:5 or 1:6. You will have the opportunity to work block scheduling, with shifts scheduled three days per week, providing an excellent work-life balance. New travelers are welcome, and specific unit details will be provided upon confirmation. Be prepared to participate in emergency team responses if needed.
