Senior Plumbing DesignerEngineering/DesignUnion City, CA • Full-Time/RegularPosition SummaryThe Senior Plumbing Designer leads a team of designers on large projects. Monitors long term project deadlines and ensures deliverables are met. Quality control work done by less-experienced designers.Position DetailsProduce new and review existing plumbing designs identified in plans, specifications, submittals and shop drawings. Ensure compliance with engineering standards, codes, specifications and design instruction.Identify design, process and equipment options that can satisfy client requirements, minimize costs and limit potential operational problems.Interface directly with other disciplines and coordinate with client personnel, contractors, architects, and other project team members to ensure value engineering and the delivery of high quality projects within the prescribed time frames. Make presentations when necessary.Provide project management with engineering guidance and quality control.Monitor the progress of and coordinate with third-party engineering consulting firms that perform technical reviews of plumbing systems and LEED projects.Determine methods and solutions for complex engineering problems and identify the most efficient and acceptable resolution.Give direction to designers and junior engineers assisting with project development.Perform on-site field surveys. For (Colorado/New York City/California/Washington/Maryland) this ranges from $128,390.00-$156,921.00 plus annual incentive, benefits, and retirement program as outlined above.Contingent Employment: All employment offers are contingent upon successful drug tests, background checks, and professional reference checks.
