Optician / Optical Dispenser

MK Optics is expanding its optical retail team in Wichita and preparing for growth into Tulsa and Oklahoma City. We are seeking an exceptional Optician / Optical Dispenser who combines technical optical knowledge with honesty, warmth, personality, and outstanding people skills.

This is a full-time, customer-facing opportunity of approximately 40–44 hours per week. The successful candidate will dispense prescription eyeglasses and contact lenses, interpret prescriptions, perform measurements and lensometry, style frames, make adjustments and repairs, communicate with laboratories, maintain accurate orders, and deliver a high-trust patient experience from consultation through delivery.

ABO and/or NCLE certification is strongly preferred and will be an important consideration. Candidates without those credentials may still be considered only when they demonstrate superstar-level optical ability, judgment, sales performance, technical skill, and a clear commitment to professional development. At least two years of optical experience is preferred/requested. Experience in retail optical, wholesale laboratories, edging, finishing, surfacing, Rx processing, lab supervision, or optical production is welcome—especially for professionals who want to return to a more personal, customer-facing role.

Compensation is $15–$25 per hour based on experience, plus bonuses and spiffs with substantial additional earning potential. Exceptional top performers may be considered for total annual compensation in the $75,000–$100,000 range, depending on verified performance, responsibilities, and results. Relocation assistance and a signing bonus may be available for the right candidate; the stronger the candidate and fit, the stronger the overall offer.

MK Optics expects each team member to understand the business impact of excellent patient care. Our target is approximately $450,000–$650,000 in annual revenue generated per employee, supported by the Cordone Ventures 360 / 10X revenue-per-employee operating philosophy. This is a performance standard and growth framework—not a guaranteed sales promise—and we will provide clear expectations, coaching, and accountability.
