Senior Cost Accountant

Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Senior Cost Accountant to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary of $130,000 to $147,000 per year.

Job Responsibilities

• Review material, labor, and overhead costs and prepare journal entries to support accurate inventory balances.
• Reconcile inventory accounts to the balance sheet and analyze margin, cost of sales, and production results.
• Partner with manufacturing and business teams to provide cost, inventory, and operational analysis.
• Support audits by preparing schedules, documentation, and required disclosures.
• Assist with period close activities, including production order review, settlements, and cost updates.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, information systems, or a related field.
• 6+ years of professional cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes from raw materials through finished goods.
• Previous experience working with large enterprise resource planning systems.
• Knowledge of compliance, documentation, and internal control standards.
