Cyber Intelligence Analyst - Junior

Purpose and Impact Amentum is seeking Junior Cyber Intelligence Analysts to support its U.S. Department of Energy contract. The position will be based in the Washington, D.C. area. Work Schedule 5 days, 8 hours per day. Essential Responsibilities Provide a wide range of Cyber Intelligence (CI) services to deliver timely, actionable, and relevant threat intelligence on hostile nation‑states, cyber adversaries, and criminals seeking to conduct malicious cyber activities against U.S. energy sector partners. Minimum Requirements (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities) 2–4 years supporting cybersecurity, cyber intelligence, SOC operations, incident response, or threat analysis. Experience with SIEM platforms such as Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel, QRadar, or Elastic. Familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, and RMF. Security+ required (or ability to obtain within six months). Security Clearance Required Active TS/SCI or DOE Q#javelin. Other Responsibilities Safety – Enforce a safety culture by completing all training requirements, participating in emergency response tasks, and serving on safety committees and teams. Quality – Conform to Amentum Quality Policy and carry out job activities in compliance with applicable Amentum Quality System documents and customer contracts. Read and understand quality management and customer satisfaction responsibilities.
