Wage: $27.00 - $30.00/hour Shift: 1st Hours: 7:00am - 3:30pm Welder / Fabricator Responsibilities: Read and interpret CAD drawings, blueprints, job tickets, and engineering specifications Perform MIG, TIG, and Stick welding on carbon steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and aluminum Cut, shape, and prepare materials using grinders, plasma cutters, saws, and other fabrication equipment Operate lathes, mills, and other machining equipment to manufacture parts within required tolerances (machining experience preferred but willingness to learn is acceptable) Use precision measuring tools, including calipers and micrometers, to inspect parts and verify measurements to tolerances as tight as.001" Inspect welds, fabricated components, and completed equipment to ensure quality standards are met Identify and repair defects or inconsistencies in welds or fabricated parts Perform surface finishing, polishing, and final assembly of components Maintain welding, machining, and fabrication equipment and report any repair needs Follow all safety procedures, wear required PPE, and maintain a clean and organized work area Requirements for Welder / Fabricator: High School Diploma or equivalent required; technical welding certification preferred At least four years of welding/fabrication experience in a manufacturing or remanufacturing environment preferred Proficient in MIG, TIG, and Stick welding Experience working with carbon steel, stainless steel, cast iron and aluminum Ability to read and interpret CAD drawings, blueprint and technical specifications Strong understanding of welding techniques, metallurgy and fabrication processes Experience operating machining equipment such as lathes and mills preferred Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with a team Ability to lift up to 50 lbs throughout the shift Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and perform repetitive movements for extended periods Ability to work in an industrial manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, and heavy machinery
