Cook's Helper - Gordon Ramsay Burger - Steady Extra (Flamingo LV) Las Vegas, NV, United States (On-site) Job Summary The Cook’s Helper is responsible for assisting the cooks in preparing recipes and food items in accordance with the Executive Chef’s requirements. Essential Job Functions Prepare, sauté, broil, fry, bake or grill food items in accordance with kitchen needs. Assist with pre‑preparation work – cutting, slicing, dicing, etc. Support the operation of grill, fryer, broiler, oven and French press per kitchen needs. Perform preliminary preparation work on time. Ensure ingredient supply levels are accurate. Move items from shelves to carts and transport to stations for restocking. Maintain required par of food items at assigned stations from supply areas. Understand and uphold proper safety and health codes and regulations. Keep assigned areas clean and free of debris. Support any additional job‑related duties as assigned. Qualifications Effective verbal and written communication in English. Minimum two years of experience as a cook, including at least two years as a fry cook. Appearance neat and personal hygiene maintained. Prior experience cooking eggs preferred. Prior experience with a point‑of‑sales system preferred. Must bring own tools: chef’s knife, carving/slicing knife, metal spatula, metal tongs, carving fork, and paring knife. Available to work any day of the week and on any shift. Ability to work as a team and maintain good relationships with co‑workers. Physical, Mental and Environmental Demands Work requires the ability to stand for extended periods, walk, bend, push, pull, lift and reach during the shift. A heavy business volume must be handled in a timely manner. Duties include pushing carts up to 70 lbs, lifting full pots up to 100 lbs, repetitive stirring and working under extreme hot and cold conditions and bending at the waist.
