JOB TITLE: Service Mechanic Coordinator

FLSA:  Non-Exempt

STATUS: Full Time

DIRECT REPORTS : None

LOCATION:  B ay Center/ Santa Clarita, CA

COMPENSATION: $30-$40 an hour depending on experience

  

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Maintenance Mechanic/Coordinator is a hybrid role involving working as an industrial maintenance mechanic, liaison to the customer, and trainer, while facilitating and managing a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and other associated activities for plant. This position must be a self-starter with excellent communication skills. This role is very hands-on performing repairs and maintenance to machines.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience with CMMS systems
• High School Diploma or equivalent (AA in Electrical or Electro Mechanical preferred)
• Proficient with Microsoft Suite, including Word and Excel
• Experience working with hand tools
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members and customers
• Ability to work under pressure with a high degree of professionalism and customer service
• Ability to work efficiently and with little to no direct supervision or alone
• Advanced knowledge of mechanical skills
• Advanced knowledge of electrical skills (sensors, PLCs, circuits, etc.)
• Hold and maintain a valid US driver’s license
• Demonstrate ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form and deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Capable of pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 50 pounds
• Capable of standing and walking up to 12 hours a day
• Capable of climbing, bending, squatting, kneeling, and reaching above shoulder height
• Capable of working in hot or humid environment
