Support Service Worker The Division of Developmental Disabilities is seeking to hire a Support Service Worker for the Mabley Developmental Center located in Dixon, Illinois to perform routine, repetitive unskilled manual tasks associated with support services, including exterior building and campus clean-up, dietary tasks including meal distribution and clean-up, and housekeeping services. Uses and performs simple maintenance on standard equipment and machinery, ensuring compliance with Public Health standards, facility and department policies and procedures. Completes simple clerical tasks including completing work orders, supply orders and routine logs and reports.Essential Functions:Performs routine, repetitive unskilled manual tasks associated with support services, including exterior building and campus clean-up, dietary tasks including assisting with kitchen clean-up, housekeeping and other related duties.Uses and performs simple maintenance on standard equipment and machinery, ensuring compliance with Public Health standards, facility and department policies and procedures.Performs routine kitchen related tasks such as assisting with clean-up, food prep as necessary to include the use of peelers, food choppers, steam kettle, blenders, food processors and vertical cutters to slice, dice and chop food.Stocks housekeeping carts and supplies for both departmental use as well as use by others throughout the facility.Completes simple clerical tasks including completing work orders, supply orders and routine logs and reports.Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.Minimum Qualifications:Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to completion of High School supplemented by six (6) months experience in the support service functional area to which assigned.Work Hours:11:00 am - 7:30 pm; Week 1 Work: Tuesday - Friday, Week 2 Work: Monday-Tuesday & Thursday - Sunday, 30 min unpaid lunch, Business Office Headquarter Location: 1120 Washington Ave, Dixon, Illinois, 61021Division of Developmental Disabilities Mabley Developmental Center Support Operations Work County: LeeAgency Contact: View email address on click.appcast.io Group: Building, Fleet & Institutional Support; Social ServicesAbout the Agency:The Illinois Department of Human Services uplifts individuals and communities across Illinois.
