Role Summary

We are seeking a technically strong and proactive Senior DevOps Consultant to act as a key technical contributor across complex, high-availability client projects. In this hybrid consulting and hands-on engineering role, you will take end-to-end architecture ownership of cloud deliverables—combining deep pipeline automation skills with the confidence to deploy scalable infrastructure frameworks independently. You will guide clients through the entire lifecycle, from requirement refinement and pre-sales bid analysis to deploying working systems and providing technical mentorship to engineering squads.

Key Responsibilities

• Advanced CI/CD Automation: Design, build, and scale advanced CI/CD pipelines from scratch across multiple tools including Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or GitLab . Create reusable template workflows to standardize multi-tier builds.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Architect and maintain production cloud resources using declarative configurations via Terraform or cloud-native engines (ARM/Bicep, CloudFormation) across major clouds (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Container Orchestration & Networking: Design, deploy, and operate production-grade Kubernetes clusters at scale. Configure application routing parameters using CDNs, ingress controllers, and load balancers for hub-and-spoke multi-region cloud networks.
• PaaS Ecosystem Hosting: Containerize application packages to deploy natively across managed cloud platforms including Azure Container Apps and AWS ECS Fargate ecosystems.
• Security Scanning & Validation: Integrate automated vulnerability scanning gates, verify Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVE) reports inside build loops, and write testing matrices to validate non-functional infrastructure performance constraints.
• Application Debugging: Perform structural codebase diagnostic sessions to support, troubleshoot, and patch backend applications written in languages like Java, C#, or Node.js.
• Emerging AI Practices: Leverage advanced AI-assisted development tools including GitHub Copilot to accelerate system refactoring, testing scripts validation, and runbook documentation.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong hands-on commercial track record executing cloud native infrastructure or enterprise DevOps automation architectures.
• Demonstrated expertise designing reusable Terraform modules, structured pipeline setups, and cross-platform automation patterns.
• Extensive practical experience deploying and maintaining containerized application servers within production Kubernetes networks.
• Solid conceptual understanding of secure network segmentation rules, private routing architectures, and automated CVE remediation profiles.
• Excellent communication and presentation mechanics, with proven ability to present complex technical roadmaps comfortably to technical developers and non-technical stakeholders alike.
• Location Context: 100% remote working infrastructure configuration open to qualified technical consultants located within the United Kingdom .

Preferred Assets (Nice to Have)

• Active technical certifications across major providers (AWS DevOps Engineer Professional, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert).
• Prior experience supporting consulting pre-sales workloads, assessing proposal RFPs, or working directly alongside commercial bid management teams.
