Be one of the first to apply — offer rates tend to be higher at this stage Description American Traveler is seeking an RN - Psychiatric for an adult behavioral health unit requiring active BLS, CPI certification, and at least 1 year of relevant experience. Details Behavioral health hospital setting covering ADOL, Serenity, ITU, SRAD, and VINE units ADOL unit serves patients ages 12-18, Serenity and VINE are lower acuity adult units, ITU is a higher acuity unit for patients with thought disorder diagnoses, and SRAD serves senior-lifestyle patients Nurse-to-patient ratio of 8:1, with MHT ratio of 12:1 Documentation via Meditech Coverage required for three 12-hour shifts daily, seven days a week, including weekends No on-call requirements Floating may be required based on facility census needs Night shift schedule from 7p-7a Requirements Active RN license (Missouri or Compact) required Current BLS and CPI certifications required Minimum 1 year of recent psychiatric nursing experience required Skilled in psychiatric assessment, care planning, medication management, and crisis intervention Knowledge of psychotropic medications and therapeutic communication techniques Experience monitoring vital signs, mental status changes, and medication effects Additional Information Provide direct care to adult and adolescent psychiatric patients across multiple specialized units Conduct crisis intervention and de-escalation for patients experiencing suicidal ideation or aggression Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs Follow HCA's I CARE values (integrity, compassion, always, respect) and AIDET communication framework Nurses required to wear blue scrubs per facility dress code Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates not accepted No gaps in work history exceeding 90 days within the past 12 months These details are based on information provided by the facility and may include inaccuracies or be subject to updates.
