MaxIT Consulting – Max Corporate Group is looking for a Growth Operator – Grocery / QSR / Retail to join a fast-growing AI technology company building advanced growth infrastructure for some of the largest consumer and retail organizations in the world.

The company is already profitable, has surpassed eight figures in recurring revenue, and is closing large enterprise contracts with leading retailers. This opportunity is designed for an experienced retail operator who understands the challenges of ecommerce, digital growth, loyalty, and personalization from the inside — and is now ready to take that experience into a highly commercial, customer-facing role.

About the Role

This is not a traditional account management or corporate strategy position. The company is looking for a hands-on operator who can use deep retail expertise, credibility, and an active professional network to open strategic conversations and develop large enterprise opportunities.

The ideal candidate has previously led ecommerce, digital, growth, loyalty, or personalization initiatives inside a major grocery, QSR, home improvement, sports, fashion, or similar retail organization.

You will work directly with senior executives across major retailers, helping them understand how better data infrastructure, AI, and growth systems can unlock measurable commercial value.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop strategic commercial relationships across grocery, QSR, and large retail organizations.
• Leverage an existing industry network to create high-quality conversations with senior decision-makers.
• Engage executives across ecommerce, digital, growth, loyalty, marketing, technology, and data functions.
• Translate firsthand retail operating experience into credible commercial conversations and growth strategies.
• Identify enterprise opportunities where data, AI, personalization, and growth infrastructure can drive measurable business impact.
• Lead complex customer discussions involving business, data, engineering, and technology stakeholders.
• Personally build pipeline and advance opportunities from initial relationship through commercial close.
• Operate as a hands-on individual contributor in a highly entrepreneurial environment.
• Travel frequently across the United States for strategic customer meetings and commercial opportunities.

Required Experience

• Approximately 5 to 10 years of relevant operating experience .
• Previous responsibility for ecommerce, digital, growth, loyalty, personalization, or related functions inside a grocer, QSR, home improvement, sports, fashion, or major retail organization.
• A strong and active professional network within the retail ecosystem.
• Ability to establish credibility with senior executives and decision-makers.
• Strong commercial instincts and genuine interest in transitioning into a revenue-generating role.
• Comfort discussing complex solutions involving data, technology, AI, engineering, and organizational alignment.m>

  Particularly Relevant Backgrounds

  • Former Heads or Directors of Ecommerce, Digital, Growth, Loyalty, CRM, or Personalization within large retailers.
  • Operators from grocery, QSR, home improvement, sports, fashion, or adjacent consumer sectors.
  • Loyalty and personalization leaders who understand both the business and technical sides of customer growth.
  • Professionals who have managed large-scale digital transformation or growth initiatives inside retail organizations.
  • Consulting professionals with strong retail experience who later moved into operating or commercial roles.

  Ideal Candidate Profile

  The strongest candidate is someone who has personally lived the problems this company solves.

  You understand how retail growth organizations operate, where customer data becomes fragmented, how ecommerce and loyalty teams measure performance, and why large transformation initiatives require alignment across business, technology, marketing, and data teams.

  You are also ready to move away from a traditional corporate operating role and into an environment where individual ownership, commercial impact, and upside are directly connected.

  This role is best suited to someone who wants to remain hands-on rather than immediately build or manage a large team.

  Compensation

  • Base compensation generally between USD 190,000 and USD 240,000 annually , depending on location and experience.
  • New York benchmark of approximately USD 240,000 base .
  • Target compensation approximately doubles the base salary under the standard incentive structure.
  • Uncapped variable compensation tied directly to closed enterprise revenue.
  • Significant upside for candidates who successfully develop and close large strategic accounts.

  Work Arrangement

  This position is remote within the United States .

  Candidates located in New York, Atlanta, Chicago, or Los Angeles are particularly relevant, although strong profiles elsewhere in the US may also be considered.

  The position requires frequent customer travel and is designed for professionals comfortable operating at a high-tempo, customer-facing pace.
