About This Role
We are seeking a caring, dependable, and enthusiastic Lead Teacher to join our team!
The Lead Teacher is responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment while supporting children’s social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.
This role includes planning and implementing age-appropriate activities, supervising children, leading assistant classroom staff, and communicating effectively with families.
What You'll Do- Plan and implement daily lessons and activities that support child development.
- Create a positive, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment.
- Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of all children in care.
- Lead and support assistant teachers and other classroom staff.
- Maintain classroom organization, cleanliness, and learning materials.
- Observe and document children’s growth, development, and milestones.
- Communicate effectively with families regarding children’s progress and daily activities.
- Follow all licensing regulations, health and safety requirements, and center policies.
- Manage classroom routines, transitions, and behavior using positive guidance techniques.
- Participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development opportunities.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with children, families, and other staff.
- Ability to pass required background checks.
- Willingness and ability to obtain required trainings.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to bend, sit on the floor, stand, and actively engage with children throughout the day.
- Ability to participate in indoor and outdoor activities in various weather conditions.
- Available full time Monday through Friday between the hours of 5:45am to 6:30pm
