Job Summary:
The organization is seeking an ICU Cardiovascular nurse in Reston, Virginia. The role involves working in a specialized cardiac intensive care unit that manages post-surgical cardiac patients. This position requires providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced, technologically advanced environment.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: 1-2 years of experience working with fresh cardiac surgery patients with direct primary recovery; certifications including ACLS; educational requirements include relevant nursing licensure; location preference is Virginia; minimum of 2 years of experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with balloon pump, impella training, hemosphere or acumen trained; familiarity with Meditech Expanse documentation system.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: Candidates should demonstrate proficiency with advanced cardiac care procedures, possess strong critical thinking skills, and be adaptable to unit-specific policies. The unit emphasizes team collaboration and continuous technological updates to improve patient outcomes.
