The Academy's mission is to boost literacy, kindergarten readiness, and close early learning gaps across Gwinnett County. The early learning center will offer six classrooms for children ages 3 and 4, including support for students with additional learning needs. 3025 Bethany Church Road, Snellville, GA Position Title - Early Learning Coordinator, Department of School Readiness Position Summary Joyful Learning Academy is seeking a dynamic and visionary educational leader to support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of a high-quality early learning program. This role provides instructional and operational leadership focused on fostering kindergarten readiness, supporting teachers, strengthening curriculum and assessment practices, and promoting a positive learning environment for young children, families, and staff. The ideal candidate is a collaborative leader with expertise in early childhood education, curriculum development, staff coaching, and school improvement initiatives. Required Qualifications Licensure and Certification Candidates must hold or be eligible for one of the following issued by the Georgia Professional Standards Commission (GaPSC): Valid Georgia Educator Certificate in Educational Leadership and/or Support Personnel License Educational Leadership Tier I Certification (Level 5 or higher) Educational Leadership Tier II Certification Eligibility for a non-renewable Educational Leadership Tier I certificate while completing Tier I program requirements Education Master's Degree in Education, Educational Leadership, Early Childhood Education, or a related field (required) Specialist Degree in a related field (preferred) Doctoral Degree in a related field (preferred) Experience Minimum of three (3) years of successful experience in early learning environments, including classroom instruction and/or leadership roles Demonstrated success in curriculum development, assessment practices, and program implementation Experience designing and delivering professional learning for educators (preferred)Experience supporting school leaders and building-level administration (preferred) Experience as an instructional coach or staff development specialist (preferred) Experience working across early childhood and elementary education programs (preferred) Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Extensive knowledge of early childhood development, curriculum, instruction, and assessment practices Ability to lead and support high-quality instructional programs for preschool and pre-kindergarten students Strong communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills Effective project management, organizational, and strategic planning abilities Ability to analyze data and use findings to improve student outcomes Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and drive continuous improvement initiatives Commitment to fostering positive partnerships with educators, families, community stakeholders, and district leaders Key Responsibilities Instructional Leadership Support the planning, implementation, and evaluation of a comprehensive early learning program Assist in developing and sustaining a shared vision focused on student achievement and kindergarten readiness Monitor curriculum, instruction, and assessment practices to ensure program effectiveness Utilize student and program data to guide instructional decisions and continuous improvement efforts Develop instructional calendars, common assessments, and curriculum resources for preschool and pre-kindergarten programs Collaborate with district departments to align instructional practices and support services Staff Development and Support Provide coaching, mentoring, and professional learning opportunities for teachers, specialists, paraprofessionals, and support staff Support teacher induction, growth, and retention initiatives Assist in recruiting and selecting high-quality staff Promote evidence-based instructional practices and continuous professional growth Support and participate in the teacher evaluation process in accordance with district and state requirements School Culture and Community Engagement Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment for students and staff Build strong relationships with families and community stakeholders Communicate effectively with teachers, students, parents, and community partners Support shared leadership and collaborative decision-making practices Address conflict and crisis situations professionally and effectively Operations and Organizational Management Assist in overseeing daily school operations, safety procedures, and facility management Support organizational planning and resource allocation efforts Utilize technology and data systems to enhance operational effectiveness Assist in identifying and managing fiscal resources to support program goals Professionalism and Leadership Demonstrate ethical leadership and professional integrity Serve as a positive role model for staff and students Engage in ongoing professional learning and leadership development Promote a culture of excellence focused on teaching quality and student success Physical Requirements The position requires frequent sitting, standing, walking, speaking, and listening.
