Job Overview Position: Pediatric Nurse Practitioner – Hospice / Palliative Care (APRN) in the NYC metro area. Salary: $130,000 – $150,000 per year. New hire bonus: $15,000. Vacation: 4 weeks. Work in community, long‑term care environments, or hospital settings. Specialist skills in symptom management, communication including goal‑setting discussions, and hospice eligibility review; may work independently or as part of a treatment team. Provide in‑person visits or telehealth visits as appropriate, ensuring care aligns with best practices (history‑taking, examination, formulation and care planning, treatment recommendation or implementation, communication, and documentation). Coordinate with the team physician and manager; responsible for face‑to‑face evaluations for hospice eligibility and assessment and management of hospice patients in need of exigent medical care. Contribute to the training of the hospice team and provide support for the interdisciplinary team as needed. Help build a teaching curriculum on pediatric aspects of hospice care for hospice workers engaged in pediatric care through cross‑coverage or when young adolescents are incorporated into adult hospice teams. Use evidence‑based approach to management and to the use of materials and policies/procedures. May participate in quality improvement projects as appropriate. Qualifications At least 1 year of Provider / Pediatric Nurse Practitioner experience. Active New York State Provider license in good standing.
