Position: Physician Billing Clerk
Location: Business Office in the Jane Wheatley Medical Building at Taylor Regional Hospital
Schedule: Full time- Monday- Friday 8:00am-4:30pm


What You'll Do:


• Posts hospital charges verifying patient demographics, date of service, and location.
• Reviews charge tickets and pulls them daily.
• Posts patient and insurance payments from bills and remits.
• Works credit balance report monthly.
• Communicates effectively with patients, families, and other team members.
• Retains accurate knowledge of hospital policies, regulations, and standards of practice within the billing office and anything that might coincide with the billing process.
• Follows HIPAA compliance.
• Maintains organized files of receivables and EOBs, files claims, assists with cash sheet and accounting relating to end of the month reports.

What We're Looking For:


➤High School diploma or equivalent required
➤2-3+ yrs of medical billing experience preferred.
