Cleaning rooms includes duties such as changing bed linens and emptying trash as well as vacuuming carpets and dusting furniture. This person assists room attendants with supplies and linens.In a story of entrepreneurial spirit and partnership, P.C. Amin and his brother-in-law B.N. Shah embarked on a remarkable venture in 1978. Today, Shamin Hotels stands as a testament to their legacy, having grown into the largest hotel owner and operator in Virginia, with over 70 hotels spanning multiple states.Essential Job Functions:Strip rooms - remove bed linens, terry, and trash.Cleans hallways, corridors, elevators, stairways, ice rooms, trash areas, and linen closets.Cleans rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies, using vacuum cleaners.Dusts fixtures, frames, and equipment.Polishes metalwork, such as fixtures and fittings.Washes walls, ceilings, and woodwork.Washes windows, door panels, and sills.Empties wastebasketsTransports trash and waste to the disposal area.Stocks and delivers supplies.Replaces light bulbs.Abided by the regulations set forth by the material safety data sheets when using chemicals.Reports to work for scheduled shifts, on time and in uniform in accordance with company policy.Knows and complies with all company policies and procedures pertaining to this position and its duties.Takes the initiative to greet guests in a friendly and warm manner.Performs other related duties as required.Top Requirements:Team Up: Be Golden, Collaborate and Help Others Succeed.Own It: Be a role model, Embrace Responsibility and Keep Learning.Passionately Serve: Be Positive, Care Deeply and Create Memories.Qualifications:High school diploma, GED certification or equivalent experience preferred.Must have basic Reading, Writing, and Math skills.Must have reliable transportation to and from workCustomer Service Skills required.Prioritization and time management skills required.Must have a strong attention to detail
