The Pipefitter Fabricator lays out, fabricates, prepares, and checks pipe against job specifications for assembly at the jobsite. Non-exempt role; Reports to the Foreman; Assigned duties according to specific procedures / work is checked frequently.40 hours a week, no per diemLocal candidates only Essential Qualifications:High school or equivalentOne (1) to four (4) years of experience in specified skill (depending on mechanic level)Basic knowledge of Pipe Fabrication hand toolsFamiliar with mathematical formulas for offsetsMay be required to create Field Sketch DrawingsSome sites may require Forklift certificationPost offer drug / alcohol screen, physical evaluation, and signed acceptance of the company Drug, Alcohol and Contraband PolicyComply with company and client job site safety requirementsMust not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of others in the workplace Functional Requirements:Interprets spool sheet diagrams to determine size, shapes and angles of required pipes, pipe fittings, flanges, etc., Plans sequence of fabrication, Measures and cuts pipe, Cleans and prepares pipe by grinding, bending and threading pipe - may operate bending machine, Assembles and joins pipe and pipe fittings, May operate hydraulic lift to relocate pipe, Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction. CompensationFinal agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience. BenefitsDepending on your employment status, benefits include health, dental, vision, life, ADD, voluntary life / ADD, disability benefits, leaves of absence, 401k, paid time off, paid holidays, telehealth access, and employee assistance program. Physical Involvement:May be required to do the following: climbing ladders, scaffolds, structures, etc. above and below ground level; maintaining balance on ladders, scaffolds, structures, etc.; reaching in all directions; handling and manipulating objects and materials; coordinating the movements of eyes, hands and fingers to operate tools and equipment; lifting 30 to 50 pounds from ground level, waist level, and/or overhead; carrying objects, tools, equipment, etc.; standing / sitting; walking; pushing; pulling; bending; kneeling; crouching/squatting ; seeing with or without correction; hearing with or without correction; wearing respirator and other PPE; work in excessive heat; work in excessive cold; work in loud environment Turner Industries is an equal employment opportunity employer.
