Radiologic Tech

Location: Deer Valley - 19829 N 27th Ave Phoenix, AZ 85027 Category: Imaging Shift: Day Department: RAD General Responsibilities Under the direction of a radiologist, perform diagnostic/therapeutic procedures, requiring independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative. Review patient identification, orders, and history to ensure correct patient, procedure, imaging site, and protocols. Transport patients to and from the exam room and assist them into position using safe patient handling techniques and equipment. Perform radiology procedures, observe patient during procedure to ensure patient’s safety and comfort, and administer contrast materials as required. Initiate emergency response to contrast reaction if needed. Obtain and evaluate images for technical quality assurance factors including image laterality marking and annotation as required by radiology procedure protocols. Utilize RIS, PACS and other ancillary image management systems as needed. Assist in coordination of daily workflow for the department’s activities. Maintain equipment in efficient operating order. Perform and document all required quality control testing. Contact service for repair and maintenance as directed. Rotate throughout the department as staffing and volume dictates. Participate in orientation, training, and in-servicing of staff as needed. Maintain an orderly, clean, and safe environment for patients and staff in assigned area. Maintain stock and inventory as assigned. Perform other duties as assigned. Education High School Diploma or GED completion of an ARRT accredited program. Other / Certificate Radiography program or US military Radiography training. Associate’s degree preferred. Experience Successful completion of radiologic training. Licenses and Certifications Basic Life Support (BLS) – certification required. ARRT – American Registry of Radiologic Technologists – certification required; ARRT (R) credential and licensure must be provided prior to start date. Radiologic Technologist – Certified AZ Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) license; must be provided prior to start date. Benefits $10k sign‑on bonus available. #J-18808-Ljbffr
