Contract | Travel | Full-Time | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 13-Week Assignment | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provides routine and complex nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients in a high-acuity Emergency Department setting.
• Addresses complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families in accordance with scope of practice.
• Administers medications and treatments per appropriate protocol; monitors for side effects and effectiveness of prescribed treatments.
• Documents patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided accurately and thoroughly.
• Assesses learning needs and provides education to patients, family members, and caregivers; identifies issues and available resources.
• Makes appropriate assignments and delegates to other care providers as needed to manage clinical situations effectively.

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of Texas or a compact state license.
• Current BLS certification (American Heart Association only).
• Current ACLS certification (American Heart Association only).
• Current PALS certification (American Heart Association only).
• Current TNCC certification.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in Emergency Room or related nursing specialty.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• Experience caring for Adult and Pediatric patients in a designated Stroke, STEMI, Trauma, or Resuscitation center environment.
• Experience in a Regional Advanced Cardiac hospital or similarly high-acuity facility.
