Real Estate Agent/Right of Way Agent (Entry Level) - Ohio

Location: Ohio - candidate may work from home but must reside within 90 miles of Chillicothe and report to our Columbus office as requested. Schedule: Full‑time, non‑exempt. What You'll Do Work with project teams to learn the right‑of‑way project lifecycle through hands‑on experience and mentorship. Shadow team members to understand applicable laws, regulations, and negotiation strategies for property acquisition. Assist in preparing real‑estate documents and performing basic property research. Support acquisition efforts by completing administrative tasks that contribute to overall project execution. Participate in a structured training program to progress to an Agent 1 role and independently manage project assignments when available. We're Looking for Someone Who Works efficiently and effectively under tight deadlines. Prioritizes and balances multiple tasks. Demonstrates strong organization and planning skills. Is analytical, detail‑oriented, and eager to learn. Has excellent written and verbal communication skills. Thrives in a fast‑paced administrative setting. Provides strong customer service experience. Can adapt to new systems and software environments. Minimum Requirements No prior right‑of‑way experience; this is a training program position. Real‑estate license or at least two (2) years of experience in a negotiation‑related field such as real‑estate paralegal, title, appraisal, relocation, construction management, survey, environmental, or civil engineering. Proficiency with MS Office Suite, specifically Excel, Word and Outlook. Must have an iOS or Android smartphone to access ORC’s systems. Valid driver’s license. Bonus Points Active notary, sales or hospitality experience, GIS/survey, real‑estate, or right‑of‑way experience. Benefits and Other Notes Relocation and per diem are not provided. Physical Requirements: This role is largely sedentary with long periods at a computer. Occasional travel to government buildings and driving may be required.
