This role involves verifying sales information, negotiating supplier pricing, and maintaining current market data to generate precise estimates and project documents. A key aspect of the position is conducting risk analysis on complex projects and collaborating on operational improvements while ensuring compliance with company processes.Essential Functions:Perform detailed estimates in all types of roofing systems, generating detailed reports for hours, materials, equipment and other suppliesProvide value engineering to ensure the optimal roofing system is selected to meet client needsThoroughly review project drawings and specifications, ensuring manufacturer warrantyAttend client meetings with sales staff to help diagnose roofing problems and discuss solutionsMaintain current market pricing for materials in estimating systemNegotiate with suppliers and manufacturers regarding pricingDraft and compile complex project documents, manufacturer documents and submittalsParticipate in pre and post bid meetings as applicableNetwork and market company services to existing and potential clientsComplete risk analysis on complex projectsGenerate job cost reportsMaintain compliance with company processes, contract terms and project requirementsPerform hand-off meetings to assigned project managersRequired Skills and Abilities:Maintain a valid driver's license in accordance with state laws and company driver policiesOSHA 10 CertificationUnderstanding of OSHA safety requirements and adherence to all work safety protocolsComputer Proficient in software programs: Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, The EDGE, and PipedriveKnowledge of commercial roofing systems, as well as industry codes and standardsAbility to read/interpret blueprints, submittals, drawing plans, and product specificationsStrong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilitiesPeople-oriented -- enjoys interacting with peopleTime Management--great time management; able to prioritize and meet deadlinesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsEmbody and model company values of Serving Others, Passion for Results, Accountability, Integrity, Respect, Consistency and ExcellenceMust demonstrate respect to customers, supervisors, and team members, communicating all concerns in a professional manner and always adhere to standards of conduct and company policiesEducation and Experience:5 years of experience in construction estimating preferred5 years of experience in roofing (prefer experience in code enforcement and building system inspections)Continuing industry education as relevant to estimating job duties (even after hire)Work Environment/Physical Requirements:Pass initial drug test and participate in random drug test programPrimarily Indoor work environmentAbility to work at high elevationsFrequent walking, standing, kneeling, crouchingOvertime and weekend workBenefits:Health, dental, vision, life insuranceTelehealthPaid time off401(k) Plus company matchCareer AdvancementPaid Parental LeaveAbility to Relocate:In Person: Denver, CO: Relocate before starting work (Required)Day ShiftJR & Co.
