Assistant Healthcare Director, LPN, RN or LVN

Weare looking for the right person to partner with our team to implement the day-to-daynursing activities for our assisted living and memory care residents. This includes interacting with our residents,their families and medical providers, and our caregivers and medicationassistants. Highgate Senior Living'smission is to devote ourselves to help each resident live a life of purpose andeach of us plays a crucial role in doing so. We operate communities in thewestern US and are seeking the right LPN, RN or LVN to join our team. For this full-time position, we are seeking acaring, detail-oriented individual to work with us as we seek to providequality care in an environment that promotes a sense of well-being and thefeeling of true community in a homelike setting.

Workingin an assisted living setting allows you to build long term, meaningfulrelationships with the residents in your care. The work environment feels like home, very different than an acute,crisis driven environment. A nurse inassisted living spends time focusing on quality of life and promotingindividuality and choice. If you areinterested in spending your work time in this setting, assisted living may bethe right option for you.

Thesuccessful candidate will be an organized and detail-oriented individual with apositive and self-motivated attitude. You must have strong communication andcritical thinking abilities. Excellent time management skills are importantalong with relationship building, persistence, flexibility, andadaptability.


SKILLS NEEDED:

• Ability to positively interact with residents, providers, and families
• Able to create partnerships with the clinical and care teams
• Excellent customer service skills to respond to resident, family, and medical provider requests and concerns
• First-rate assessment skills to report and respond to changes in condition
• Calm, levelheaded demeanor to assist during medical emergencies or incidents
• Excellent verbal and written communication that is factual, based on observation and not subjective
• Office and computer skills including MS Office suite
• Ability to learn software that is necessary for the role including eMAR and EHR
• A heart for service and compassion for elder adults
• Capacity to teach and train effectively

RELATABLEEXPERIENCE:

1. Experience working with seniors or other vulnerable populations
2. Past and present nursing roles in various settings
3. Experience working with pharmacies, physicians, or long-term care providers
4. Past jobs that have involved scheduling, training, and documentation
5. Customer service in different settings
6. Jobs that required focus, accuracy, and attention to detail
7. Professional experiences that taught you the importance of follow through and problem solving to reach resolution

QUALIFICATIONS:

1) CurrentNursing License

2) Minimumof two years' experience as a nurse

3) CurrentTB test

4) Currentor obtain CPR certification

5) Abilityto pass criminal record/background check and obtain Fingerprint Card

6) Goodtime management skills

7) Self-starterwith a focus on attention to detail

8) Excellentverbal and written communication skills

9) Experiencewith documentation

10) Weare a 7 day a week, 24 hour a day workplace setting, so working some weekendsor evenings is expected

Our compensation package will be flexible forthis role based on the credentialing, tenure and skill sets each candidatebrings for consideration. The hourlywage range for this position is $31.00 to $37.50 per hour. Prior experience in caring for seniors orother specialty population groups is preferred.
