Travel Respiratory Therapist – Pediatric RT American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with pediatric critical care experience for a night shift position at a children’s hospital in Oklahoma City, OK. Assignment Overview Location: Oklahoma City, Oklahoma Start Date: 07/13/2026 Duration: 13 weeks Hours: 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours per night, 5 days per week (night shift) Employment Type: Travel Openings: 1 Requirements Graduation from an approved Respiratory Care Program. RRT credential required (must be received within 12 months of hire). Licensed by the Oklahoma Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (license required if applicable). Minimum 1 year of respiratory care experience; 2+ years in a critical care setting preferred. Previous experience in a children’s-only hospital preferred. BLS (AHA) required upon hire. ACLS (AHA) required within 3 months of hire. All certifications issued by the American Heart Association. Date of birth required for consideration. Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility. Workers previously contracted at this facility must have a 6‑month separation period before reapplying (extensions permitted once for a total of 26 weeks). Responsibilities Administer therapeutic treatments as prescribed by attending medical staff and document patient responses in the electronic medical record. Perform invasive and noninvasive diagnostic testing and monitoring. Serve as a resource to medical staff and participate in the quick response team for cardiac and respiratory arrests. Ensure respiratory equipment is properly cleaned and maintained. Strictly follow compliance deadlines; no start date changes for non‑compliant travelers.
