Adjunct Faculty, Massage Therapy (Science Focus)This is a part-time (adjunct) faculty position. Please indicate your availability when applying for this position.Job Description:Teaches a full range of lecture and lab credit courses of massage therapy basic science. Assists in the development of continuing education for students and accompany students to off-site activities or clinical.Prepares and delivers learning activities in order to achieve course outcomesPrepares course materials such as syllabi, homework assignments and handoutsEvaluates and grades students' class work, laboratory work, assignments, papers, and examinationsMaintains and submits student attendance records, grades and other required documentation by specified deadlinesBe available to students for coachingPeriodic meetings with supervisors, division, or College, relative to teaching duties and training and developmentRequired Qualifications:Bachelor's or Master's degree in Biology or a health career field with a minimum of 8 semester undergraduate hours (or 12 quarter hours) of Human Anatomy and Physiology courses with labMust have a minimum of 3 years' experience as a licensed massage therapist, be licensed by the State Medical Board of Ohio and be eligible to teach massage theory and practice in the state of Ohio.(Candidates who have an out-of-state license for the minimum of 3 years, must pass the MBLEx exam and be licensed by the Ohio medical board by start date)Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (or equivalent)Advanced communication (verbal, written and interpersonal) and organizational skillsSensitivity to respond appropriately to the needs of the communityPreferred Qualifications:Teaching experienceIn order to be considered for an Adjunct faculty position, these additional documents are required to be uploaded: Unofficial transcript & license/certifications (Based on requirements outlined in posting).This is a Part-Time Faculty position, with the following set rate of pay: $951/Equated Semester Unit (ESU)During the application process, you may be required to attach a cover letter and/or resume.
