Membership, Chapters & Outreach Manager

Founded in 1948, the American Research Center in Egypt (ARCE) is a nonprofit organization committed to advancing research on Egypt's history and culture. ARCE actively supports cultural heritage preservation through grants, fieldwork, and collaborations with the Ministry of Antiquities. With a mission to strengthen American-Egyptian cultural collaboration, ARCE plays a key role in promoting and protecting Egyptian cultural heritage. The organization engages with educational institutions, scholars, and individuals to achieve shared goals. Role Description The Membership, Chapters & Outreach Manager is responsible for managing membership engagement, overseeing ARCE’s regional chapters, and executing outreach initiatives to increase awareness and participation in ARCE’s programs. Key tasks include developing member recruitment and retention strategies, fostering relationships with chapter leaders, coordinating events, and managing membership records and communications. This is a full-time position based on-site in Alexandria, VA. Qualifications Strong communication and public relations skills to engage members and stakeholders effectively Experience in project management and the ability to oversee multifaceted membership and outreach initiatives Background in sales and community outreach to build partnerships and expand ARCE’s reach Proficiency in tracking and managing membership databases Highly organized with strong interpersonal and collaborative skills Experience in nonprofit or cultural heritage sectors is a plus Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Business Administration, or a related field #J-18808-Ljbffr American Research Center in Egypt
