Distribution Associate (Onsite)

Location: Covington, GA
Pay: $16.50/hour (W2)
Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 5:00 AM–3:30 PM (40 hours/week)
Type: Temporary
Work Setting: Onsite

Position Overview

This is a manual labor warehouse/distribution role. You will be manually unloading 18-wheeler trucks and performing material handling and warehousing duties related to receiving and staging products.

What You’ll Do (Key Responsibilities)

• Unload inbound trucks; verify counts/quantities and stack boxes to a required pallet pattern
• Use safe lifting techniques (bending, lifting, turning)
• Locate pallets into racks and move materials to pallet/BIN locations
• Verify product details (catalog/lot numbers, quantities, expiration dates as applicable)
• Build/assemble loads according to defined palletization diagrams
• Use scanners/RF equipment and complete system transactions as required
• Maintain a clean, compliant work area and follow quality/safety procedures
• Operate material handling equipment (MHE) as assigned (forklift certification may be required)

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• 1+ year of relevant warehouse/distribution experience (preferred)
• Ability to obtain forklift certification
• Ability to read/interpret basic manufacturing or warehouse documents
• Comfortable using RF scanners / basic warehouse systems
• Drug test required

Physical / Work Environment

• Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, pushing/pulling, grasping
• Must be able to lift 50+ lbs in some areas (varies by assignment)
• Moderate-to-loud noise environment; work near moving equipment and other warehouse hazards
