Your expertise will be essential in promoting students' overall success and well-being in the school environment.Additional Details: Highly supportive and collaborative school district that values its therapy team.Caseload includes preschool and elementary-aged students, with a focus on supporting students with complex communication needs at the elementary levelTravel package and relocation support for candidates interested in moving to the area.Unique travel opportunity to experience and work in one of the most beautiful parts of the country.Potential to transition into a traditional role if you enjoy the district and community.Excellent opportunity for clinicians seeking adventure, professional growth, and a strong team environment.Requirements/Licensure: Alaskan State SLP Licensure, Alaskan Education License or willing to obtain licensure with our supportCompensation: Up to $65, but travel stipends can be discussed ResponsibilitiesThe Speech Language Pathologist will conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments to identify students' communication disorders and develop individualized treatment plans.Provide evidence-based speech and language pathology interventions and strategies to improve students' communication, articulation, fluency, and language skills.Collaborate closely with educators, parents, and other members of the school-based team to create and implement strategies that support students' participation in the classroom and social activities.Monitor and document students' progress, adapting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.Offer guidance and education to parents, teachers, and support staff on strategies to enhance students' communication skills and facilitate carryover into the classroom.Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including session notes, progress reports, and billing documentation.Stay current with the latest research, best practices, and techniques in speech-language pathology.Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, team meetings, and school-based professional development opportunities.Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations and ethical standards governing speech-language pathology services in schools.What our employees say about working for us:"Culture is friendly and inclusive.""Everyone is very supportive and willing to help each other."
