Job Summary:

The Assistant Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and quality control of the business. The Assistant Manager works with the General Manager and/or other Assistant Managers to oversee daily operations, assisting with inventory, ordering and schedules. The Assistant manager also maintains a high standard of customer service and satisfaction while educating and motivating their team in service quality and product knowledge.

Responsibilities:

1. Quality Control:

• Monitor food quality and presentation, adhering to company guidelines.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and sanitary environment.
• Address customer feedback promptly, striving to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
• Ensure that all areas of the store are clean and orderly both during and outside of service hours.

 

1. Daily Operations

• Assist the General Manager in overseeing all aspects of store operations.
• Supervise and coordinate staff activities to maintain efficient and effective service.
• Train and develop team members on standard operating procedures and customer service.
• Monitor inventory levels, track product usage, and assist in placing supply orders as necessary.

 

2. Schedule Management:

• Process schedule requests from employees and create weekly schedules that meet operational requirements.
• Coordinate shift coverage for employee absences and ensure adequate staffing levels at all times.
• Maintain accurate records of employee attendance, hours worked, and schedule changes.
• Communicate schedule updates and changes to the team in a timely and efficient manner.

 

3. Customer Service:

• Lead by example in delivering exceptional customer service and resolving customer complaints.
• Foster a positive and welcoming atmosphere for guests, ensuring their satisfaction.
• Train staff on effective customer service techniques and encourage a customer-centric mindset.

4. Grow Sales

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a supervisory or management role within the hospitality industry is preferred.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities to handle multiple tasks and prioritize accordingly.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the operational needs of the company.
• Previous food safety training (ServSafe) or may be provided by the company.

Physical Qualifications

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This position requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping and crouching for extended periods of time. This position requires the ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
