This is a field-based People leadership opportunity supporting hospitals and frontline teams across an assigned region. You will serve as a trusted strategic partner to market and hospital leaders, helping them make thoughtful, effective people decisions. The role blends strategic HR partnership with hands-on coaching, employee relations, talent development, and organizational support. You will spend significant time in the field, building credibility with leaders and employees while staying closely connected to operational realities. Using people data and field insights, you will identify patterns, manage risks, and turn workforce trends into practical recommendations. Accountabilities

• Serve as the primary People Business Partner for an assigned region, translating business priorities into practical People strategies that strengthen hospital performance, retention, engagement, talent health, and leader effectiveness.
• Build strong relationships with market owners, hospital leaders, and frontline employees through regular field presence and meaningful time spent at supported hospital locations.
• Coach leaders through performance management, employee relations, conflicts, difficult conversations, engagement challenges, and other sensitive people matters with sound judgment and care.
• Support regional execution of talent and People processes, including talent reviews, succession planning, development plans, performance reviews, engagement surveys, compensation reviews, and retention initiatives.
• Analyze people data and field feedback to identify trends and risks related to engagement, retention, performance, employee relations, and workforce health.
• Diagnose root causes and provide leaders with practical, data-informed recommendations that connect People decisions to operational outcomes.
• Partner with People Centers of Excellence, Talent, Legal, headquarters teams, and regional operations to implement People initiatives and ensure they work effectively in the field.
• Identify recurring organizational themes, escalate systemic issues, and help improve the usability and effectiveness of People programs.
• Support change adoption while maintaining consistency in employee practices and strengthening a positive, inclusive employee experience.
• Contribute to leadership capability, talent readiness, succession planning, and long-term workforce development across the region.

Requirements

• 3–5+ years of progressive Human Resources or People experience, including meaningful HRBP or People Business Partner experience supporting leaders through complex people, performance, engagement, and employee relations matters.
• Experience supporting distributed, field-based, multi-site, healthcare, retail, hospitality, veterinary, or similarly fast-growing operational environments is strongly preferred.
• Strong business judgment and the ability to connect People strategies and decisions to staffing health, retention, engagement, operational performance, and employee experience.
• Proven ability to act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, influence constructively, coach through ambiguity, and provide sound guidance in high-stakes situations.
• Demonstrated experience managing complex employee relations matters, facilitating difficult conversations, maintaining appropriate documentation, and applying HR policies and employment law considerations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify patterns across people data and field insights and turn them into actionable recommendations.
• Experience supporting performance management, talent reviews, succession planning, development planning, engagement initiatives, and leader coaching.
• Comfortable spending substantial time with frontline teams and traveling approximately 50–70% of the time within the assigned region.
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business, or a related field is preferred.
• PHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or a similar HR certification is a plus.
• Experience with Workday or comparable HR information systems is preferred.
• Empathetic and people-centered, with the ability to understand different perspectives and approach sensitive situations with care.
• Humble, accountable, curious, and willing to take ownership while continuously learning and improving.
• Strong communication, relationship-building, organizational, and influencing skills.
