As a team member of Lear Corporation's Columbia City plant, our Production Operators are responsible for the assembly of high-quality seats while ensuring that safety standards are always followed. Work is performed in a clean, bright, temperature-controlled environment. Our Production Operators achieve certification according to a proven training process and actively participate in Lear's High-Performance Work Team model, geared to achieve plant performance goals and objectives.Advantages of working for Lear at the Columbia City Plant:High starting pay - $19.00 per hour - with rapid contractual pay progression. So much more!The Role: Your main role will be to assemble truck seats in a Just in Time (JIT) work environment. The work will include, but not be limited to:Read, comprehend, and adhere to standard work instructions (SWIs).Adhere to 5S and "World Class Housekeeping" standards.Participate in team meetings and understand performance goals and objectives.Follow company rules and policies/procedures.Flexibility to work overtime and/or weekends as needed.Availability to work any shift.Perform all other duties assigned.Your Qualifications: Must be 18 years of age or older. Must be eligible to work in the United States. Available and flexible to work daily overtime with short notice, weekends, open to any shift, at any time. Must be able to complete and pass a Background Check, a Drug Screen, and a Physical Abilities Test. Must be dependable. Perfect attendance is desired. High School Diploma or GED (verification is required).Physical Requirements: Team Members are frequently required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms for up to 12 hours a day. While performing the duties of this position, team members are regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle and feel. Must also be able to talk and hear. Team member must regularly lift or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift or move up to 40 pounds.
