Lead Data Engineer with Cobol

Job Description : Lead Data Engineer with Cobol

Duration: Longterm Contract

Location: 100% Remote

Required Skills

Strong experience with COBOL programming in a mainframe environment.
Experience working with mainframe tools such as JCL, TSO/ISPF, Endevour, Xpeditor and batch processing .
Hands-on experience with AWS services (Lambda, S3, IAM, API Gateway, etc.) .
Proficiency in Python scripting and automation .
Experience integrating legacy systems with cloud-based services .
Understanding of REST APIs, microservices, and serverless architectures .
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Preferred Skills

Experience with mainframe modernization or migration projects .
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices .
Knowledge of data transformation, ETL processes, or event-driven architectures .
Experience with containerization or infrastructure-as-code tools is a plus.
