We are seeking an experienced Cost Accountant to join the team of a growing manufacturing organization in Mt. Sterling, KY. This role will play an important part in understanding plant costs, supporting profitability, and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce costs.

The ideal candidate will have strong manufacturing cost accounting experience, an analytical mindset, and the ability to work closely with plant and continuous improvement teams to turn financial data into meaningful business decisions.

What You'll Do:

• Analyze manufacturing processes and evaluate the cost impact of process changes and improvement initiatives
• Analyze manufacturing costs and prepare reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs
• Provide management with financial analysis and reporting related to product profitability and plant performance
• Partner with Continuous Improvement and process teams to identify and implement cost-saving opportunities
• Monitor inventory cycle count adjustments and investigate variances
• Perform internal cost audits in accordance with GAAP
• Maintain accurate costing and financial data within SAP/ERP systems
• Analyze cost drivers and make recommendations to improve efficiency and profitability
• Support accurate program profitability and burden-cost modeling
• Provide timely reporting and analysis to support plant decision-making

What You Bring:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent work experience
• 2+ years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment
• Working knowledge of SAP or another ERP system; SAP experience preferred
• Understanding of manufacturing processes and costing principles
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and conceptual thinking skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to manage deadlines and work independently as well as collaboratively
