Part-Time RF Engineer

Providing technical expertise remotely, the part-time RF Engineer will support acquisition programs at the Naval Air Station (NAS) Patuxent River by navigating spectrum certification processes and developing necessary documentation for spectrum dependent systems. Key responsibilities Provide technical expertise regarding EMC and the electromagnetic spectrum for Navy/Marine Corps spectrum dependent systems Research and evaluate spectrum dependent system characteristics and assess conformance to applicable spectrum standards Perform Spectrum Supportability Risk Assessments (SSRA) and develop spectrum certification requests for submission to relevant authorities Required qualifications BS in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related STEM degree 3+ years of experience in RF engineering related to DoD spectrum dependent systems Experience with EMI, EMC criteria, and operational spectrum coordination Active SECRET Security Clearance Familiarity with spectrum documentation and compliance evaluations
