Staff Accountant

Position Summary The Staff Accountant plays an important role in supporting the day-to-day financial operations of the company. This position is responsible for accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash flow monitoring, reconciliations, monthly close support, forecasting, and maintaining accurate financial records. This position works closely with the Controller and other departments to help ensure the financial health of the organization while supporting continued business growth. Process accounts payable by matching receiving documents with vendor invoices and accurately entering invoices into the accounting system. Prepare weekly payment runs, including ACH transactions, check processing, and vendor remittances. Process customer invoices and post incoming customer payments. Monitor accounts receivable, identify past-due balances, and communicate collection concerns to the Controller. Track historical and projected cash flow to support operational and strategic planning. Perform regular bank and credit card reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy. Assist with monthly close activities, including maintaining the general ledger trial balance. Prepare financial forecasts using historical data and input from company leadership. Maintain accurate accounting records and support internal financial reporting. Assist with additional accounting and finance projects as assigned. Qualifications Required High school diploma or equivalent. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities. Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across departments. Preferred One or more years of experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, or general accounting. Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field. Experience working with MRP or ERP systems. Experience in a manufacturing environment. Knowledge of cash flow forecasting and financial reporting. Physical Requirements This position primarily works in an office environment and requires prolonged periods of sitting, frequent computer use, and occasional lifting of up to 20 pounds.
