Pay Rate: $45 – $50/hr

Position Overview
We are seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist to provide scrub and technical support during surgical procedures while maintaining a sterile environment and ensuring surgical equipment is prepared and functioning properly.

Required Qualifications

• Certified Surgical Technologist certification required.

• BLS certification required.

• Completion of a Certified Surgical Technologist program preferred, or current New York State LPN license eligible.

• Travel experience required.

• Orthopedic (Ortho) experience required.

• Scrubbing experience required.

• Da Vinci/robotic surgical experience required.

• Weekend, call, and holiday availability required.

• Must be able to report within 30 minutes when called in.

• Knowledge of cleaning, sterilization, and disinfection of operating-room equipment and instrumentation.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparation and care of surgical patients under the direct supervision of an RN.

• Perform scrub duties and provide technical assistance during surgical procedures.

• Maintain a sterile surgical environment.

• Prepare, organize, and ensure surgical instruments and equipment are functioning properly and safely.

• Respond accurately and efficiently to surgical situations.

• Follow hospital and department standards, policies, and procedures.

• Assist surgeons and the surgical team during procedures.

• Perform routine and delegated duties related to surgical patient care.

• Precept and orient new staff as required.

• Support departmental duties as assigned.
