Seven Healthcare are seeking an experienced RN with a specialty in Progressive Care Unit (PCU) for a travel assignment in Louisville, KY. This dynamic role is set in an advanced cardiac and pulmonary care environment, ideal for professionals looking to further develop their skills in a supportive atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities of the RN - PCU - Travel

• Administer care to patients with advanced heart failure, VADs, and heart and lung transplants
• Manage patient ratios based on care level: 1:3 for new VADs/transplants, 1:4-5 for other cases
• Utilize general nursing skills along with specific expertise like continual bipap, trachs, chest tubes
• Handle medication drips including amiodarone, Cardizem, Pricor, Dobutamine, Nitro, Heparin
• Support provided within the department includes PCA/CNA and respiratory therapy

Requirements of the RN - PCU - Travel

• BLS and NIHSS certifications
• Minimum one year of PCU experience
• Proficient with drips and VAD equipment
• Experience with heart and lung transplants preferred
