CNC Milling Specialist (VMC, 3–5 Axis) — Cedar Rapids

Step into a climate-controlled shop where precision and pace go hand in hand. As a CNC Milling Specialist, you’ll set up and operate vertical machining centers to produce accurate parts, verify results with precision instruments, and keep production moving safely and efficiently.

Schedule & Environment

• Hours: Monday–Friday, 7:00 am–3:30 pm
• Workplace: Climate-controlled manufacturing facility
• Location: Cedar Rapids

Compensation Progression

Start strong and grow steadily with a clear pay path:

• Min = $28.94
• 3 Months = $29.35
• 6 Months = $29.87
• 9 Months = $30.36
• 12 Months = $30.88

What You’ll Do

• Set up and run CNC mills to perform milling and drilling per part specifications.
• Assemble and preset cutting tools; secure workpieces accurately.
• Load programs or input machine instructions in line with job requirements.
• Monitor machine performance and part quality throughout the run.
• Measure and validate parts using precision metrology tools; adjust as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Either a 2-year A.A.S. in CNC Machining Technology or 3–5 years of CNC machining experience in a manufacturing setting.
• WorkKeys National Career Readiness Certificate (Silver or higher) preferred.
