Preferred Qualifications & Skills:

• Valid Physical Therapist (PT) license for the state of Arizona
• Prior experience in a school-based PT or pediatric therapy setting is highly valued
• Strong assessment, documentation, and intervention planning abilities
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
• Adaptability and resourcefulness, tailoring interventions to meet each student’s unique needs
• Passion for advocating for children’s physical development and inclusion within the educational setting

Role Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and assess students' motor functions and needs to develop effective, individualized treatment plans
• Deliver direct therapy services to students as outlined in their IEPs or 504 plans
• Consult and collaborate with educators, parents, and other specialists to support students’ integration and success in the classroom
• Maintain up-to-date records, progress reports, and documentation required by school guidelines
• Participate in IEP meetings, offering input on PT goals and students’ progress
• Offer in-service training or guidance to staff on mobility, safety strategies, and adaptive equipment as needed
• Adjust and adapt therapy interventions based on ongoing assessment and feedback
