Massapequa Center Rehabilitation & Nursing is committed to improving our residents’ quality of life and independence through exceptional rehabilitative services and compassionate, patient-centered care. We are seeking an enthusiastic Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our interdisciplinary team at our skilled nursing facility in Amityville, NY .

This is a full-time position with an 8:00 AM–4:00 PM schedule , with some flexibility. No weekends are required.

Job Responsibilities Include:

• Provide occupational therapy services to residents under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist

• Assist residents in developing and improving the skills needed for daily functioning and independence

• Accurately complete and document all treatment procedures and functional mobility tasks in a timely manner

• Implement individualized treatment plans in accordance with each resident’s needs and established plan of care

• Provide education regarding selected treatment procedures and functional activities to residents, their families, and other healthcare professionals

• Monitor and document resident progress and communicate any concerns or changes to the supervising Occupational Therapist

Qualifications Include:

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program

• Valid New York State license and credentials as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)

• SNF/Long-Term Care experience preferred
