About the Role
The Company is seeking an Executive Director for Portfolio and Execution within the central Engineering and Architecture function. The successful candidate will be the primary leader for portfolio governance, execution transparency, and operating cadence. This role is pivotal in partnering with senior leaders to translate strategy into coherent programs, driving and monitoring their execution through disciplined planning, and producing executive-ready reporting. The Executive Director will also be responsible for standardizing the process of turning strategies into executable programs, ensuring engineering excellence, and fostering engineering communities of practice. Additionally, the role involves architecture direction and governance, reducing duplication and waste, and managing firmwide initiatives that impact engineering and architecture. Applicants must have a minimum of 10 years' experience in portfolio/program leadership, strategy and execution, transformation, or governance roles within a large, complex technology organization. The role requires a candidate with a proven track record in designing and running outcome-based governance and operating cadences, as well as strong executive communication, influence, and collaboration skills. Working fluency in modern engineering delivery practices and enterprise architecture concepts is essential, as is a basic understanding of AI and its application in engineering and architecture. Preferred qualifications include experience in regulated enterprises, scaling governance cadences, and driving portfolio rationalization. The ideal candidate will be adept at driving measurable outcomes and have a strong focus on engineering and architecture excellence.
