Part-time office assistant (temporary)

A non-profit organization in Hauppauge, NY is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Part-Time Clerical Assistant to support our Finance and Purchasing departments. This is a highly flexible, entry-level administrative role perfect for someone looking for steady part-time hours in a supportive non-profit environment. You will assist with day-to-day office operations, handle sensitive financial documents with confidentiality, and help keep our purchasing records up to date. This is an on-going temporary position with no end date at this time. We are looking for someone who can work 2-3 days a week from 8:30am to 4:30pm (Monday through Friday).

salary: $20 - $22 per hour

Responsibilities

• Document Management: Filing, scanning, copying, and organizing physical and digital paperwork.
• Mail & Correspondence: Stuffing envelopes, sorting incoming mail, and handling all items with strict confidentiality.
• Purchasing Support: Checking the status of open orders and printing confirmations for the purchasing team.
• Data Entry: Inputting basic data into computer systems accurately.
